Cheltenham Tips: Our Triumph Hurdle Pick For Friday's First Race

The final day of the Cheltenham Festival is always a treat, with the Gold Cup taking centre stage at Prestbury Park.

Let’s start with the Triumph Hurdle (1.30) where Sir Gino has been unsurprisingly withdrawn by Nicky Henderson.

Storm Heart has Paul Townend on board as the jockey goes in search of yet more glory, he ran in the same race as stablemate Majborough, while Kargese looks to repeat the Dublin Racing Festival victory for the in-form Willie Mullins.

Willie Mullins saddles the first three in the betting, although Kargese will benefit from a mares’ allowance and perhaps deserves more credit after winning the Spring Juvenile at the DRF.

She claimed a one-and-a-quarter length victory to finish ahead of Storm Heart and Majborough on that occasion.

Punters searching for an alternative might consider Majborough and this Willie Mullins-trained runner could end up getting plenty of support on betting apps, with the JP McManus-owned charge having finished third last time out.

It could be all about finding a runner at a bigger price and you could do a lot worse than Kargese.

This horse looks overpriced on horse racing betting sites based on what she’s already achieved this season.
