Promotions Available from PowerPlay Sports 

Punters can get a 10% parlay bonus when they bet on five or more North American sports games and win. You must bet on a minimum of five markets in an accumulator/parlay bet on the MLB, NBA, NFL, NHL or MLS and if your selection wins, you’ll get an added 10% bonus. The maximum bet allowed is $100.

In addition, you can get a refer-a-friend bonus up to $500 when someone signs up for a PowerPlay account quoting your email and goes on to deposit and make a bet. Your bonus will equal the amount your friend deposits and bets.

Like the 10% bonus on North American sports, you can get the same 10% on virtual sports when you bet on at least five virtual events and win. The maximum bet for this bonus is $100. The same 10% bet offer is available on table tennis.
You can get a $20 free bet when you bet at least $100 on any live tennis game with odds at 1.50/-200 or higher. You can claim two $20 bets per day.

Betting Odds at PowerPlay Sports

There were no apparent odds boosts when we visited PowerPlay but you can get bet bonuses on various sports. 

When we compared PowerPlay’s odds with other leading bookmakers, they were similar. For instance, when compared with Betway, some of PowerPlay’s football (soccer) odds were better, while some were slightly less generous.

PowerPlay Free Bets

As well as the welcome bonus free bets, PowerPlay has free bet offers on individual sports. For example, they have a $20 free bet offer for NFL. To get the free bet, you need to bet $100 on a live NFL game. You can also get a $20 free bet if you bet $100 on live Major League Baseball (MLB) matches.

The most popular sports available to bet on at PowerPlay include baseball, football (soccer), American football, tennis, golf and MMA.
When we were reviewing PowerPlay Sports, the most popular events to bet on were the NFL preseason, MLB, MLS and the Olympics in Tokyo.
There is also an A-Z list of sports markets, including rugby union betting, rugby league, Australian Rules, athletics, badminton, esports, cricket, cycling and many more. In fact, there are around 26 sports covered, so you’ll never struggle to find something interesting. 
 

There are also specialist or niche betting markets, on subjects like news and politics. Unfortunately, there are no TV markets for you lovers of couch potato culture!
There are also virtual sports, such as soccer, motorsports, horses, greyhounds and table tennis. The bonus of virtuals is that they are available virtually 24 hours a day, seven days a week. For example, there is a new soccer match every three minutes in each soccer market section. These are named English Single, English Group and Spanish Single.
 

If you have never tried virtual sports before or bet on virtuals on another betting site, you might be pleasantly surprised at how realistic PowerPlay’s virtual soccer matches appear. PowerPlay’s virtual sports live streams make betting a bit more enthralling.

PowerPlay Sports Betting Features 

PowerPlay Sports has a thriving sports betting section, rich with markets from eclectic matches and competitions. When we were reviewing PowerPlay Sports, one game from the Czech second division had a remarkable 93 betting markets. 

eSports Excellence

Those who enjoy esports betting will love PowerPlay’s competition information. There is a comprehensive list of esports competitions on the right side of the page in the eSports section of the site, including the International Dota 2 Champions League, the International League of Legends PCS Summer, and the International Rainbow Six Benelux League. 
It is impressive how much esports data PowerPlay has, considering it is not marketed as an esports betting site.

If you want to find odds on any of the many listed eSports competitions, you just click them and you’ll see what you can bet on. For example, if you click the International CS:GO CBCS Elite League, you’ll see Paqueta are favourites to beat the Bravos in their match on August 7. You can bet on either team at PowerPlay. As well as match winner markets, you could bet on the match handicap, total maps played, correct score, map winner, map rounds handicap, and total rounds on each of the three maps.  We were really excited to see all of these markets available as it presents a more varied product than many eSports-centric betting sites.

Cash Out Feature

One of the features that exhibits PowerPlay’s class is Cash Out. Whenever you see their Cash Out icon, you can take your money and run on those selected bets. You can cash out via ‘My Account’ and then ‘Cash Out’. Although cash out features are common on the best betting sites, it is an item that shows PowerPlay are very much on that high level too.

It’s quick and easy to cash out your current winnings on markets where you can see the white, red and black Cash Out symbol. Just go to your My Account area from the right-hand side of the page and click the Cash Out feature. You’ll be shown all of your bets that are available for cashing out and you just need to click cash out to move your funds to your balance.

In-Play Betting 

In-play betting is definitely a strong feature at PowerPlay Sports. They even have a Bet Live tab so you can venture straight there. In this area, you’ll see all the events which are happening now in a range of different sports. Plus, you can check out the ‘Upcoming’ tab for what’s happening later. This could help you plan and make smarter bets.
 

If you add a live bet to your bet slip, you’ll receive odds update notifications whenever changes occur, until you confirm the bet. This helps you decide whether to go ahead with that bet or not and prevents you from forgetting a good winning opportunity.

Moreover, when we were online at PowerPlay, there were 50 live soccer events to bet on, 21 in tennis, one basketball match, seven in table tennis, golf matches, eSports games, snooker fixtures and cricket. Plus, among these live events, there were sometimes 150 different markets for individual matches. 

Live Streaming

There didn’t seem to be any sports live streams when we explored PowerPlay Sports, however, this didn’t affect our enjoyment. Each sports fixture has a separate page with the live score, statistics from the competitors, information on major incidents, head-to-head and recent match information, line-ups and standings. Bettors who are more interested in statistics than seeing the live action will be satisfied at PowerPlay.
 

PowerPlay Sports Desktop Experience 

It is a pleasure to navigate over PowerPlay’s sports betting pages. When you arrive at PowerPlay.com you will probably land on the Sports section, which has tabs for Bet Live, Baseball, Football (which is American football in this case), Soccer, Tennis, Offers and Support. You can expect these to change depending on which big sports events are taking place around the world. Along the left of the page are all the sports and virtual sports available, just like most leading betting sites, so finding the odds you want should come naturally.
You can deposit and access your account from the top right corner, while your bet slip is on the right of the screen. In terms of appearance, PowerPlay is modern, colourful and has a strong vibe.

Depositing and Withdrawing at PowerPlay Sports

PowerPlay Sports have several features to make managing your betting funds and betting at the site in general, more enjoyable. There are guides on how to use each payment method in the Payment Options area of the site. You can filter the available options depending on which country you’re from.

At PowerPlay in New Zealand, you can bank with Visa, Mastercard, Cryptopay, MuchBetter, EcoPayz, Paysafecard, Neteller and Skrill.
The New Zealand withdrawal options are the same except you cannot use Paysafecard to withdraw your funds. 

Visa, Mastercard and EcoPayz withdrawals have a PowerPlay processing time of between zero and four hours, while Cryptopay has a separate ‘partner processing time’ of about 30 minutes.
