Which Celebrities Will Sign Up For Holly Willoughby's New Netflix Show Bear Hunt?

There was plenty of speculation about Holly Willoughby's next show after she departed This Morning last year, with UK betting sites running markets on what she would do next.

We now know she is to present new Netflix programme Bear Hunt, an action-packed competition show where a group of celebrities are dropped into the Costa Rican jungle as prey - because adventurer Bear Grylls is onto them.

Bear is set to put the stars through their paces as he challenges them to survive in the jungle, but those who don't perform well enough will have to face a "Bear Hunt", in which he will hunt them down in a game of cat and mouse.

Anyone caught will be eliminated from the show. It sounds brutal to be a part of, but it could be great fun to watch.

Former Little Mix star Jesy Nelson and ex-Celebrity Juice host Leigh Francis - also known as Keith Lemon - are already said to have signed up for the show.

While Spice Girl Mel B and retired England rugby star Danny Cipriani have been confirmed for the trip to Costa Rica.

Several other stars have been tipped up on UK betting sites to take part in the show.

There was also speculation that Netflix were forking out a staggering £1 million on security to protect Holly, Bear and the show's competitors, while filming takes place next month in the Costa Rican jungle, but the streaming giant has called the claims categorially untrue.

While those rumours have been put to bed, the casting speculation continues...

Spice Up Your Costa Rican Jungle

What better way to spice up a new Netflix show than by putting two Spice Girls on it? That makes it easy to see why Emma Bunton is favourite to be confirmed for the Netflix extravaganza.

With Mel B all set for the survival show, Emma Bunton - who is close friends with Holly - has had her odds cut further from 4/6 into 1/2 new betting sites to be one of the stars who sign up for this hotly-anticipated programme.

While Baby Spice isn't prolific in the reality TV game, if anyone can convince her to take part in this show then it could be her good pal Holly and her bandmate Scary Spice.

The presenter is also good mates with second favourite Gino D'Acampo (Evens) and Paddy McGuinness (5/2), who could add some additional comedy to the Costa Rican jungle while being chased by one of Britain's top adventurers. No likey, no takey party.

From SAS To Bear Rescue

Two stars who know what it's like to be pushed to their limits on a TV show are Wes Nelson and Alexandra Burke.

The pair both took part in Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins in 2021, and they passed the Channel 4 show's brutal Special Forces selection course.

Wes - who also won ITV series The Games, which was co-hosted by Holly in 2022 - is 6/4 on specials betting sites to take part in Bear Hunt, while Alexandra is a 2/1 chance.

Former EastEnders actress Maisie Smith is 3/1 to take her Celebrity SAS experience into the Costa Rican jungle.

She passed the course on the show in 2022, while fellow soap star Colson Smith (7/2) took part in The Games alongside Kevin Clifton (7/1) and Chelcee Grimes.

Grimes To Head Into The Jungle?

While Wes was the overall champion of The Games in 2022, Chelcee was the winner of the women's category.

She also took part in Freeze the Fear with Wim Hof, which was co-hosted by Holly, too, so the footballer is 11/2 on betting apps to make it a Holly hat-trick by signing up for Bear Hunt.

Other stars who could be tempted to join the likes of Leigh and Jesy include Holly's good friends Christine Lampard (5/1), Nicole Appleton (8/1), and Fearne Cotton (9/1), or thrill-seeker Nick Knowles (6/1), who took part in I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! in 2018, the year Holly co-hosted for one series alongside Declan Donnelly.

Bear is good pals with former Made in Chelsea star Spencer Matthews, who also loves an adventure.

He is 4/1 to take part in Bear Hunt, but a real headline signing would be if Bear was to recruit one of his Hollywood actor pals, Bradley Cooper (10/1), to the programme.
